Most of the social events are over, nearly all training is complete and Keeneland Race Course is decked out in purple. The 2015 Breeders' Cup World Championships is here.
The two-day extravaganza gets underway with a nine-race card that includes four Breeders' Cup races - the Juvenile Turf, Dirt Mile, Juvenile Fillies Turf and Distaff. Nine more races await Saturday. Championships are in the balance, destiny awaits the fortunate 13 and one final stop remains on American Pharoah's highway to immortality.
Time to play a little catch-up, from morning training, an afternoon of racing called Prelude to the Cup and the National Turf Writers And Broadcasters annual awards dinner. Enjoy another edition of Here & There, a special for Breeders' Cup Friday.
